Isn’t this short article a perfect description of Islam today! Just witness the irrational response in Afanistan to the accidental burning of the Korans by US military.
What’s scary is that the US is caw-towing to this irrational behavior and Islam in general.
HOwever, nothing is new in these types of responses of irrational zealots as the psalmist described it thousands of years ago.
What I’m seeing now, however, is that liberal Christians like Obama are not standing up to it as they should.

I begin every day with Daily Devotional and find it inspirational and educational. I have one question. I am presently studying The Jewish Study Bible: Tanakh Translation and I find many of the passages are slightly different than in my Daily Devotional. I was wondering why. Is there a better translation of the Bible that I should be studying.

There are those who are deceived thinking that G-d is finished with Israel because of the
rejection of the Gospel. If that were true then G-d would be a lier and we know that isn’t
true. For He said “I am not a man that I should lie…” Therefore, His promises in the Tanach are still in force and will be fulfilled. G-d told our father Abraham His covenant with him and
his descendants is an everlasting one. No one except G-d can revoke His covenant which is

G-d wii never forsake Israel. G-d has promised He would regather them and restore them in their Land. G-d never goes back on a promise, ever. One day we will all see the fulfillment of all “His good promises.” May we obey His commands and have made our choice before His return. I can’t imagine anything worse than to be left behind. He has given us His Word and a heart of flesh that we may know the acceptable will of G-d. As Moses pointed out in Deut.. 30 we have a choice…..blessings or curses. Choose life. As Joshua said, “choose you this day whom you will serve. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.”

Just wanted to tell you that your writings have been a blessing to me. This latest one was especially interesting to me because I refer to myself as a messianic gentile: a wild olive branch grafted into the roots of Israel. I learned that the Olive tree ‘s roots can lay dormant for 100 years then sprout again. What a picture of Israel.

I pray that those who claim Christianity would realize the richness of uniting with our Jewish roots rejecting the early erroneous writings that have had influence on the attitudes of gentile Christians even to this day. (Marcion of Sinope, Justin Martyr, Tertullian, Origen, Eusebius, John Chrysostom, Jerome, Augustine of Hippo, also reformer Martin Luther), also early Church Councils that rejected the Jewish influence on Christianity. The Jewish writers of the New Testament used the Jewish scriptures to explain the person of Jesus to not only the Jews, but the gentiles. With any serious study of the scriptures it will become an undeniable reality that God will never ever abandon his “am segullah,” Jew or gentile.

Yes I can identify with this and King David. Reading the bible as shown me most of the people God uses, or chooses are loner’s misfit, people who seem to be nearer God. Or have a passionate love for God. When you have a calling in life God removes you from the world to test you in your trials. Even if you try to be like those of the world they will reject you. God puts some inside or around you that makes different some how can’t explain what only God knows what he does.. You do withdraw i do but i fel I need to get away from people as they drain you. and i like my time with Jesus.:)

Greetings from ND. Before my knowledge of being Jewish, my love for God was deep in my heart. Yet since I have partaken of the Torah and TANACH, there is a new revelation of the love, grace and mercy of YHWH, God. My family and I have always been drawn to our Jewish heritage-never understanding why it was. Today there is a drawing to be closer to my brothers and sisters whose hearts also beat for our Lord. Tonight I am writing as there is such a draw in me to be in Israel. In the mean time, myself and others pray for you as we are aware of the dangers that you are facing. There is comfort in God and in the history of the Lord’s protection and intervention for us and for Israel. In studying the TANACH I see a people who are mighty warriors: those obdiant to follow God. I too have this in me. My name, Louise means mighty warrior. And, it is as a warrior that I pray. Some needs to hear, so I write. God loves you. Jeremiah 29:11-13 is a profound, wonderful message for those who do not feel/know the intimacy with God. I may be sharing that which you already know. I have recently been reading Haggai esp As short as it is, there are so many facets we all should attend to I our daily lives. In 2 Chr. 7:14, there are things we should be doing. About 3 years ago the Lord spoke to me about, and how we suffer our own selves not really understanding how much we miss out on all the world could be if we only would stay on His path. Even more, for those who do not know, and do not care, for the one who sacrificed for all. He gave these words to me:
(1) Be not concerned with your house, when my house is empty.
(2) Even though you come to my house, say’s the Lord, you walk away without my Joy.
(3) You have seem me only to live on the fence, burning without purpose.
(4) I know you as you fall, but you do not ask for my gifts.
(5) Do not lose my blessing, as it is free.
(6) You have planted much, but have gathered little.
(7) You eat, but never have enough.
(8) You drink, but never have your fill.
( 9) You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.
He calls us to turn these situations around, not to stay in pit. Don’t just wait for someone to help you out, they may be right next to you in the pit. Lift up your eyes to glory, he is reaching down to you.

I enjoyed this devotional. Over a year ago I was led to a Messianic Fellowship “Beth Tefillah” and your words about being grafted into Abraham’s tree blesses me so much. I WILL remember that I am just a branch and hopefully God will use me to build bridges of understanding between Christians and Jews and most importanly to help Christians understand the very roots of their faith. I know how much it has helped my understanding. I too hope that I can nuture a life of love only with God’s help and he would enable it to grow abundantly in the future. Because living a life of love is how I can achieve a proper relationship with God.

This is amazing. Sunday the 12th I had this exact portion in my devotional of Our Daily Bread.
The team was “Unanswered Prayer”. The verse to memorize that day was Isaiah 55:9 As heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways.
The devotional explain that the apostle Paul had one overriding desire: that fellow Jews would embrace the Messiah he had encounter. Rom. 9:2-3. Yet in city after city his fellow Jews rejected him and the Christ he preached. Paul struggled openly with this in the chapters of Rom.9-11. Where he acknowledged one important side benefit of this; God had widened not closed the embrace of humanity. And then his burst of doxology in Rom.11:33. So in the end unanswered prayer must bring us face to face with the mystery that silenced Paul: The profound difference between human perspective and God’s. I hope this will be a blessing to all that read it.
I see this devotional as an answer prayer, because I ask God why is it that Rabbi don’t use scripture of the New Testament, because for me the Bible’s teaching is not complete without the New Testament.
Because of my Bible reading my love grew for the Jews, but in my heart I do have the desire to see all of them saved too, just as Paul. And I want to go more deep in their lifestyle, culture etc.
And I now that no matter what, God will love them because of the sake of their fathers.Rom.11:28. This sooth my heavy heart for those that don’t understand as yet that the Messiah is Jesus. Because I know that God is in control. I LOVE YOU ALL. Shalom.

i had the joy of studying Hebrew when i lived in California and singing with a synagogue choir. “My” synagogue was a very dear place to me – a place where i learned so much about my own Christian faith in the celebrating of the feasts and festivals, the High and Holy days. i had the great privilege of celebrating the pesach seder with friends, and also at “my” synagogue at the community seder. “My” cantor was a marvelous Bible teacher and i am grateful for the years i was in that choir. My commitment to being a “good olive branch” is ever true. i have also taught the “feasts and festivals” in Sunday School classes for adults at my church – it has helped make a bridge of understanding – i do love your writing, Rabbi, and look forward to them each day. i pray daily for the “peace of Jerusalem” as the Lord commands.

Thank you for this letter and many like it that prod both the Jewish People and Christians to a better understanding, even to brotherly love. Further down in the passage you quote above. Romans 11.28b: As touching the election [of God], they [the Jewish People] are beloved for the Father’s sake. Also in the Gospel of John 10.16 we don’t hear of two groups but of one in Y’shua, only one fold which we outsiders are invited to join. The story of Ruth also portrays how a Christian can come into fellowship with the Lord through the family of Israel. Even Christ said, Mat. 15.24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. (all passaged quoted from the Jubilee 2000 Bible)

Hi David…Actually, the whole Bible reveals the nature of our God. (I hope I understand your question), He loves us so much that He has, does and will take fiery vengeance on all our enemies; he is jealous for us and patiently waits as enemies produce increasing evidence for their own judgment. He does this in order also, that they, upon seeing the confident way in which we go through troubles, might relent and come to Him. We know that our Father will deliver us; but He will do so in His time, not necessarily ours. He alone has the “big picture” and there is so much that we do not know and cannot see, in every problem that we encounter. I love the account of David’s life because he waited on Elohim for his deliverance, and though sometimes it took a while, every part and person was given the opportunity to come to Him; when they didn’t, they died. No one messes with the sheep of His pasture and gets away with it.

Yes, we all need a hiding place and life won’t get easier from here on out! There are many more Esther’s now and we are coming after the Haman’s of the world! I have seen the Christian world awakening more and more and understanding the root of their faith in Judaism just as Paul says. We are but branches of the tree and the root lies in Israel. Jerusalem is the center of the world and the Jewish people are the apple of G-d’s eye. It was his choice to make a sacrifice. No one is to blame. I read the book! It is for us to stand together to support life and the right to live! As the Christians become more supportive of the Jewish nation the Islamists become less supportive and more anti-Semitic, and less supportive of Christianity as well, burning churches, and destroying us also. I love Psalm 32:7. It has even been put to a beautiful melody which can be sung as a round. As I was reading it this morning, however, I noticed something I had not seen before. David, a gifted musician, understood that part of the way God protects us is with songs. He wrote that God would “surround him with songs of deliverance. ” When people praise God the enemy is forced to flee. Psalm 22:3 explains it by eloquently stating “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.” Truly, God inhabits the praises of His people. And when God surrounds you, He forms a barrier that cannot be breeched.

I will serve God and my country, to preserve both. I am a Vietnam Vet, nurse, and when I entered the military to serve my country; I took an oath to God and my country to serve and protect. As a child, I went to bible school, and I learned the story of Masada, and I never forgot it. And if we do … It’s a watered down version and not during the right time
We need to hear it!

As a Christian, I’m not a physical decendant of Israel or the Jewish people, but because of my belief in the Bible as the Word of G-d, I accept my spiritual place as a Jew. I therefore belong to spiritual Israel. As Paul says in the New Testament, we have to be spiritual Jews, circumcized in the heart. In his letter to the Galatians he also adds that, no matter Jew or Gentile, but because we have clothed ourselves in Jesus Chr-st, we are Abraham’s seed and therefore also heirs according to the promise. I feel so privileged to be able to be grafted into G-d’s promise for his chosen people. As the Bible says, we are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to G-d.

Thank you for explaining the example of being a good samaritan. The Apostle Paul said that these three are great – faith, hope and charity – the greatest of these three is love. I recently found this site searching for something else and as always G-D always gives us what we need when we need it and not what we want when we want it. I needed Psalm 51 today as much as I need air in my lungs and blood through my veins. We are always so quick to anger and to judge someone else’s wrongdoings but when the spotlight is on our own sins we tend to closed mouthed and would rather hide from our shame. Some time ago, my pastor said that when he gets up in the morning, he expects to be interrupted, so when it happens, he’s ready to go on to the next plan. He knows that God has plans for him each day and those are the ones he follows. I, too, have taken on that kind of belief – I know that with the Lord everything that needs to be done will be done, and all else will get done in their time – all according to the His will. I may not always understand it, but one thing I know — I serve an all knowing and perfect God – how can I possibly go wrong

I am learning so much, things the Chritian Church in the west have seemed to think this is for the Jews my wonderful new friends the Jews and Rabbi Eckstein thank you so much for the Hebrew word of the day. I’ve lived in Wales UK for 25 years and as there are many different dialects I still can’t communicate with my husband in Welsh but praise God he can speak English. Amen. I appreciate this message. Several years ago, I was listening to a message about Genesis chapter 1, God’s order of creation. During the sermon, I wrote a note at the top of the page and the note reads: God’s light(revelation) will show us the difference of order and disorder in our lifes and will show us how to put our life into full proper order.
This message reminded me of that note and I went back and read it agian. You mentioned the scripture from 1Cor. 14 and interestingly enough, on that same note I wrote some 4 years ago I had a footnote to the same chapter 1Cor. 14 and the verse says the same thing in the 40th verse: Let all things be done decently, and in order.

Hello Israel: It’s a beautiful day with the sun shining here in January. We start planting some garden
in February, like lettuce, green peas and potatoes. We are so blessed to have these God given

Thanks Rabbi, I find this fascinating. Is it possible in the 21st Century to find descendants of King David? Is it possible for a Jewish family to live in Bethlehem today and give birth to a son there? I wonder why Jesus or Yeshua, a descendant of King David, who was born 2,000 years ago in Bethlehem was not accepted as the potential Messiah. He has made such an impact on the whole world, and its history since then, through his followers, [although as fallible humans they made mistakes, especially when they didn't follow his command to 'love your enemies, do good to those who use you wrongly' and yet mostly they have built hospitals, clinics, schools, built wells, run homelss shelters, fed the poor, healed people of addictions, advocated on behalf of the vulnerable and exploited etc in his name].

Considering the history of the Jews in Palistine pre-1948, that they were targeted by Hitler & the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Mufti and the Muslim world in World War II which has been whitewashed from history, to annihilate the Jewish race, that the Jews who were not in the death-camps, fought with the Allies, that the UN in 1948 restored Israel to Palestine, that Israel was immediately attacked by a combined Arab coalition of Islamic nations & more than once, beating them with lightning speed, have dozens of times offered peace to the so-called Palestinians, have a Knesset which is superior to that of the US and the rest of the world and so on ans so on. The fact remains it is “Occupied Israel” but the world has fallen far from this fact.

Israel is a shining jewel that shines brightly the virtues of Democracy, freedom, individual equality, tolerance and a deep compassion for human rights.

Israel remains the tiny state with a huge heart.

Hero’s. I finally realize why Jesus had to die such a horrible death. Yes, but God was also acting behind the scene. God promised David that He will establish the throne of his kingdom FOREVER. 2 Samuel 7:12,13.
Boaz and Ruth are the ancestors of Jesus. He will come again to rule over the world as the KING OF KINGS. He came first to offer salvation (to build up His kingdom) and at God’s appointed time He will come back to RULE.

In 1982 the Book of Ruth in the Bible was my source of strength after the loss of my ex-husband, whom I patiently give space to for 7and 1/2 years to get help with his drug/alcohol and abuse problems but they contributed to his motorcycle accident and death 11/1/81. In the Book of Ruth I found strength and hope to go on after about 6 years of my own wandering in the wilderness of “sin”. It was the prayers and efforts of a few good saints and my own desire to be the proper example to my daughter that brought drew me back to restoration in my faith and commitment to Yahweh Elohim and I have not ceased to love Him even thru the worst of problems and persecutions in life. I may have experienced the valleys as well as the mountain tops of my walk with the Lord, but I have not gone back. When I went from Baptist to Full Gospel to SDA to what I love in worship and study now for the past 23 years-Messianic faith and worship and observances. I was like Ruth and really became part of the estate of Spiritual Israel and in so doing my life was dedicated to free witness and distribution of Bibles and literature, out of my own pocket. I have always assisted charities and thrifts with good mission purposes and shared of what I have in life, freely. So I know what Yashuah Messiah must have felt like when betrayed by some of his followers and maybe rejected or ridiculed by some of his family. And sent to the cross of calvary by some of the church leaders and synagogue attendees of his time. There have been martyrs and victims of religious persecution and injustice all down thru history and our day and age is no less at fault of the same, only it is done, at times, in a more obscured way so as not to seem to be breakers of constitutional law or the rights of humanity. I pray for all who have been given a bad reputation because of false prophets and prophetesses and those who do not know the Lord. I also extol those who have learned not to be swayed by the majority in scapegoating and falsely judging someone because of their religious choices, their family or their circumstances in life. Yahweh judges us on a scale of balances that are Just and True, taking into account all matters of our lives. Human’s judge based upon the senses and too often the majority gossip about a person. It would be nice to be as Ruth and be know only for our good works, but when life hands us more than our share of abuse and cruelty and we sometimes fall and don’t respond in the most gracious manner, then satan has his heyday in ruining our reputation and that is so unfortunate. May Yahweh and Yashuah and Ruach Ha Kodesh have the final say in all of a believers matters of life.

I get afraid He’s leaving me like everyone else in my life does!
He keeps leading me to the Rock of Rememberence … Set up in my garden. A while back He told me step by step to make us a small alter out if bricks I had.. Why Lord?? You’ll see my child”. Then He had me to paint on the top of them these words :
I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU
NOR FORSAKE YOU.
Then on the sides to paint our names: my name His name & Jesus name.
Then He said ” Repeat this covenant vow after Me”
I WILL NEVER LEAVE THEE NOR FORSAKE THEE
and He said to my spirit the same thing.
So I keep going out there to be with Him .. Sometimes with my notebook waiting to hear..
Sometimes nothing to hesr. So why why why do I still feel fear of abandonment???
Thankyou for thus message. I do need to change my reaction. But if I’m sad I’m sad I can’t FAKE ANOTHER REACTION. I can’t pretend.. So how does one just turn off the emotions and CHANGE THEIR REACTION TO A SITUATION? ;(

I had the priviledge to see and hear Natan Shransky at a synagogue in St. Paul, Minnesota
many years ago. I was very surprised how short he is phyiscally. As a person who so valued
his small Book of Psalms to insist on getting them back and as a defender of Israel Natan
stands tall. I thank you very much for this devotional for it means alot to me. I have been
going through a dark valley for alittle more than 14 months now of being unemployed. Along
with it has been creditors calling me which adds to the financial pressures I’ve been facing.
I needed to be reminded of G-d’s presence in the midist of it. Again thank you.

I love the story of Ruth and Naomi, especially because Ruth became the ancestress of Jesus by marrying Boaz. Although I am also a widow, when my husband died 6 years ago I did not have any bitterness inside because I knew he was now with Jesus, only because he accepted Jesus as his Savior 3 months before he died. I am also going through a trial with an illness I have had since July and I have refused to give in to it or to allow it to make me bitter because I have not been healed. I guess you could definitely call me a “Ruth” because I have put all my trust and faith in Jesus Christ. I believe there is a reason and purpose in my illness.

As a social worker I have learn to see every difficulties as an opportunity to see God’s hand in solving a problem. I have learned to focus on the solution and not the problem itself. Because I know God has answer for every question and can solve every problem.
As God say in James 1:2-4 we need to consider it all joy when we encounter various trials because this is to make us perfect and complete lacking in nothing.
Of course some problems can trigger our emotion, but God is there to help us. If we need wisdom we can ask Him, He will give it to us generously and without reproach.(vs.5)
The story of Ruth is a blessed one, because He choose God and was not selfish but consider Naomi. And God sure has blessed her. Jesus Christ came from her and Boaz genealogy which started with Abraham. Read Matthew 1:1-17.

A lot to think about. It seems God has been teaching me this in the last 10 days. When we have ‘all’ this ‘world’ offers to give and when by the ‘world’ it is taken away….by what do we stand? In “this world’s” treasures or in what “God” has provided? I have always been so fickle and fleeting and wanting always and longing to do God’s will, yet I have learned recently that perhaps God does not give me anything to do because I am so fleeting and unprodictable…there are people who you can always count on…who will be there and do as they have said….and then there are people as myself who the Spirit is always so willing but the flesh is so weak…one thing the doctor has said that I do work for he can always count on my being inconsistant. I do not want to be this way yet it seems things always manage to get in my way no matter how I try. Like Esther, I will always want to be true to God….just as Ruth went with Naomi….that is the one thing that is ‘not’ inconsistant….I do love the Lord. Perhaps others cannot count or depend on me….but He knows in a pinch I will be there. I hope so anyway….I love your sharings…..thanks for having a heart for the Lord. )

This has come at the right time for me.I am now looking for somewhere to live before the end of the month.God has given me favor with the landlord by giving me an extentsion untils the 31st,God-willing.There are plenty of places available to rent, but I do not have any money at preasent, to make the do so .I am trusting in God as my financial source and fighting the fear.Please keep me in prayer for my breakthrough.I have 2 online businesses that have not yet picked up steam but I given them to God to muliply them like the loaves and fishes.

Security is to trust God. Because whether you die or live He will be with you.
I thank God for the Bible because in it God has left for us examples to follow, Heroes to imitate and how to live a joyful and meaningful life.
So in every time such as this I will always do what God wants me to do, because of His Spirit that abide in me. Ephesians 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might.
With the 3 in 1 God abiding with me whom shall I fear. John 14:23 Jesus answer and said to him, “if anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and WE will come to him,and make OUR abode with him. vs. 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.vs. 27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you, let not you heart be troubled, nor let if be fearful.

As Esther back then, now in these days and upcoming ones we are and we will be daily in such a position of taking a stand, but now its regarding our faith, time is coming when we will be asked once again to choose whether to bow down and worship he who exalts himself as god and forces all to obey him or choose to publicly acknowledge He Whom Created us. Alpha and Omega. I Am. The One True God. 3 in 1. Father Son And Holy Spirit. The God of Abraham, Isaac n Jacob,Israel! Jesus!
I choose Christ as my Lord and Savior and Son of the Most High God, To Him I will give honor and Praise!
May God grant us courage to take a stand when the time comes and may we be blessed with endurance to stand all throughout even until the End.

I have been taught all my life about God’s covenant with Abraham and the obedient act of circumcision and I understand it. However, the Bible does not say anything about excusing women from circumcision. So, why did God exclude Jewish women from this command?

Floyd’s right on! The Lord said to celebrate the feasts forever. Many Christian’s have turned there back on anything Jewish. But it’s not a matter of if it’s Jewish, its a command from our LORD. WE NEED ONE NEW MAN. Not Jewish or Christian. Followers of the one true God. Who follow His laws. Salvation through His son Jesus. Remember the feasts are a picture of the Messiah!

I believe Abraham was the first Jew. I believe Rabbi Eckstein uses the word Jew because this is the word that most peoples and nations recognize all Isralites as, not meaning all are descendants of Judah but as a name given to the Isralites after exile.When Paul said, “salvation is of the Jews”, he didn’t mean salvation was of just Judah, but that it was of Israel. The church is trying to graft the Jew (all Israel ) into its body, when it is the other way around. The church is supposed to be grafted into the root (Abraham) which is Israel (Rom.11:16ff). ~~~~~~~~~~If I lived in Texas and moved to Georgia, I would be called a Georgian (by location). If I lived in Maine and moved to Virginia, I would be called a Virginian (by location). If I made my way to Israel and did dwell in Judea, I would have grounds to call myself a Jew by location. This is what the false priests appointed by the Roman government and not by God did. They were not Jews by blood, but called themselves Jews because they dwelt in the land of Judea. Many people say it was the Jews who cried, “crucify Him, crucify Him”, but it was those priest appointed by the Roman government and not God who led the people in the chant, “crucify Him”, not true Jews but Jews by location, who followed Yeshua (Jesus) around persecuting Him. Read Revelations 2:9 and 3:9. ~~~~~May our eyes, ears, and hearts be opened to Your love and revelation sweet Master !

We are not all jews but “Children of God” if we do as HE instructed through HIS choosen people.
That is because they are not “Jewish feasts” they are the LORD’s feast’s. Example: Yom Kippur, Sukkot.
This is how you show that you love God, that you follow his commandments. The feasts are part of the commandments.

I am studying, and trying to get closer to God, I am a Christian I have been saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. I have also been grafted into the Jewish faith because I have been covered by the blood of Jesus. So why does the Fellowship specify Christians and Jews? Aren’t we all Jews? My wife says that we are not required to acknowledge the Jewish feasts, but I don’t find that anywhere in the Bible. If you could give me a brief explanation, I would be so thankful!

Has anyone heard of circumcision of the heart? I understand it means total surrender to God from the very center of one’s being, surrendering ego, pride, one’s own agenda, etc for his cause, in order for the Holy Ghost, or the Holy Spirit of God, to possess one’s self for service to God. The prophet Joel said ‘In the last days I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh’. The apostle Paul said ‘Its no longer I that lives but the Messiah that lives in me’. This also leads to a profound inner peace in spite of anything one is going through.

First of all; Rabbi what is the difference between a Hebrew and a Jew???????
Second, God’s covenant with us as born again Christians is Jesus Christ.
I think the best way to demonstrate a commitment to God is to seek Him and know what He want from us. For me this is one of the verses of the Bible that describe it: Micah 6:8 He has told you, o man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you. But to do justice, to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God?

Great article on the significance of the covenant of circumcision. However, you mention Abraham was the first Jew. He was not a Jew. He was a Hebrew. The Jews came through Abraham’s great grandson, Judah, who was Jacob’s sons. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Judah – the Jews. Abraham is called Abraham the Hebrew. Of course this is no big deal concerning the greatness of this wonderful article you have written.

I thank God for this verse. It has had an impact in my guidance of my two daughters.
When my husband past away 9 years and 5 months ago this verse was my strength, together with the verse that God will take care of the widows and orphans. I thank God that they accepted Jesus as their Savior since they were small and I hope, as they grow up that they will let Him be the Lord of their lives. They are now 16 and 17 and I thank God for truly being
the best Father they could ever had, and for His help to me in guiding them. And as Rabbi said I know my work is not done yet.
